Welcome to the mixed up world it’s a trip to be alive
Some days ain’t easy in this place
Never mind the speed bumps just hit the gas and drive
Buckle up in case there ain’t no brakes
Welcome to the human race

So it’s nine more hours of endless conference calls
And the office bathroom’s locked again
Boss is on vacation and the intern broke the phone
Now or never belt out the refrain

Days are long sometimes and the nights go by too fast
If we’re not careful life can kick us in the ass
But a sense of humor and the guts to push on through
Are the best directions when we don’t know what else to do
