Let the cathedral light up the sky
Kneel in the garden listen for laughter
Dusk is approaching so is the rain

Faint is the fog fresh are the flowers
Wondering waiting watching the tide
All we are asking is for an answer
City of water open your gates

Pleasure lies in the moonlight
Holy hands silently
Overwhelm us in Venice
After dark you and me

Smoother than silk swift as a swallow
Gravel and foxglove green on the vine
Open our egos lift out the echoes
Render us ready for what we’ll receive

Thirty five years now I tried to follow
Slow moving shadows cast on the blinds
Follow the footsteps learn how to let go
Best not to bluff now I barely believe
