3 days before J. Townes Van Zandt’s birthday, James pulled this group together (as well as a handful of songwriters not pictured, who were serving their duty holding up the bar when this photo was taken!) to celebrate Townes’ music at the Springwater Supper Club, where Townes often sang. The songs and stories were wonderful, for about 3 hours we were all transported back to Old Nashville.
