She believes that all that happens is not by circumstance
She believes the highs and lows are always worth the dance
And she don’t believe in monsters hiding underneath the bed
And that all her biggest fears are only in her head

And I guess I never question a word of what she says
Because every time I trust her it seems to turn out best

She believes in finding angels everywhere she goes
She believes that God is watching over everyone she knows
She believes in love and mercy and that the truth will set you free
But most of all she believes in me

She believes in truth and freedom that we all deserve a smile
And that laughter cures the pain if only for a while
She says when you find a penny you’ll always have good luck
And a Friday night is better with a six pack and a truck

Well if a couple birthday candles make her wishes all come true
Then I’ll light ‘em every year if that’s what I have to do

Well she still believes in Santa and she looks for UFOs
Says the CIA is watching her everywhere she goes
And she makes me buy her voodoo dolls when someone makes her mad
