This morning when I left your side
You looked like an angel to me
But all day it’s been on my mind
I gotta’ try harder to be

In a human to have and to hold
Maybe with some luck and a whole lotta’ light
We can make something broken be whole

Like the way my heart feels when I look in your eyes
By the morning’s first dawn or the last fading light
You can sew up my soul with a quick simple smile
And I hope to do the same for you while you and I are running wild

I can only imagine the way you look around at the world
What a wonder, what a brilliant bouquet to a boy with love from a girl
Now we’re in a dream but it seems so real and when I wake to sing out the tune
I’ll say really all I need is everything I feel first thing in the morning with you

You are like a rainfall way up in the clouds
Never even reaching the ground
I’m gonna’ save my dollars for a big hot air balloon
One day I’ll come up and never go back down

But until I’m flying I’ll practice on the earth
Like a baby bird in the nest
And I will come and find you when I can reach that high
So we can make this life be the best
