Rescue Mission

(back)

Since before COVID-19 changed the world, the Nashville Rescue Mission has featured live music for their Gospel Recovery Night by Ray Newman and James Tristan Redding. Prior to the pandemic, every Thursday night as many as 500 men with nowhere else to go all gathered and sang together. During the lockdowns, the live music was sometimes paused and often flexible to accommodate safety concerns. But in autumn of 2021 the music and recovery returned in full force, now with two nights every week (one with James, one without) when the Mission’s general population lifts up their voices.
