Black as asphalt both his lungs

Call him No Way Steve buried in a pile o’ dirt
No Way Steve singin’ like a mockingbird
Feathers all messed up couple broken bones
With a voice like a megaphone
No Way Steve gonna’ sing ‘til it hurts

Call him No Way Steve busted up and broken down
No Way Steve tippin’ over fallin’ out
With nothin’ left to read or write
No just a big old hole inside
Yeah No Way Steve headed nowhere anyhow
