James joins three Nashville hit songwriters in the round to perform ”The Man Upstairs”, co-written with Mark Narmore. Narmore has written hits for Shenandoah, Craig Morgan, and Josh Turner, among others. Steve Dean and Kent Blazy have penned hits for George Strait, George Jones, Garth Brooks, Reba McIntyre, Rodney Atkins, Lee Greenwood, Chris Young, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Alabama.
