East Sky
(back) (listen / download)
Here I sit holding all my troubles tight
I think it’s been a long long time
Since I last spoke, fairly judged and shining bright
And brought some reason to my rhyme
So I ask of you, look upon these hands
And try to share my view across these lands
I stole and apple from a tree
Moments before it fell to me
Think what you will of my luminescent runes
Fuel for my fire to shed light on my tunes
Days I stand tall, nights I lie still
Look to the sky from down on my hill
All that I’ve known remembers me well
And free from my throne inside I dwell
Your thorns gently on your rose
Cannot begin to sink my prose
Sailing along on a shining crescent ride
Reflecting the moon to shed light on the tide
Days I stand tall, nights I lie still
Look to the sky from down on my hill
All that I’ve known remembers me well
And free from my throne inside I dwell
Now I lay down before you fire and ice
I’ll offer innocence to you
So you decide who is just, I’ll sacrifice
To know this magic must be true
